Caregiver Career Opportunities
If you are an experienced professional caregiver with an interest in Homeopathic Medicine,
then Guidepost Wellness would like to invite you to apply for inclusion on our Caregiver
Registry. We specialize in private duty in-home care placements. In addition to
tradition duties, Guidepost caregivers are responsible for helping clients to implement
the Guidepost Wellness Plan. You will receive special training for our homeopathic
wellness plan. We recognize that the success of our company directly depends
on the compassion, integrity, and skill level of our caregivers.
Guidepost caregivers must be heartfelt about providing clients with dignified and
respectful care. Working within a home is much different from working within a nursing
home or similer group environments. The care requires a greater emphasis on relationship
building with the one client and also with family members. You can achieve a sense of accomplishment,
joy, and gratification by extending the clients ability to live independently in the comfort of
their own home.
Caregiver responsibilities may include the following:
• Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming.
• Planning, preparing and serving meals.
• Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity.
• Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping.
• Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times.
The specific duties performed will vary depending on the Client Care Plan. Sharing your
skills and abilities to help others makes you special. The gifts of a servants heart
are rare, hard to find, and even harder to explain. When sharing, caring, and serving
are all viewed as inspirational acts of kindness... something magical happens and lives are
changed forever.
Other caregiver minimum qualifications are as follows:
• High school graduate.
• At least 1 year experience as a Caregiver (in homes or facilities).
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background investigation to include driving record and
a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to document daily activities.
• Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment.
• Possess a valid driver's license and have the use of an insured automobile for reliable daily transportation.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course is required
for most positions, however it is not required for certain sitter, companionship, or transport positions.
Guidepost has caregiver placements available that can usually accommodate the flexibility you may require.
We understand that most caregivers also have certain family schedules to work around. We have
full-time and part-time homecare assignments available that may be just right for you.
You can also submit your online application from the Home page. We will
be in touch and gladly answer all of your questions.
